I got hit with flying vomit today while sitting on a fairground ride. The moral of the story? Don't sit on the seat behind a fat girl as the chances are she'll probably have snorted something down her fat gullet before going on the ride. Luckily it was only a little bit and it didn't get on my clothes and Kim managed to duck out the way of the second round of fire so it wasn't as bad as it could have been but still... EEEEEW! >_< Current Mood: angry |

The definition of crushing disappointment: Checking your bank balance and seeing for the first time ever that you have over 3 grand. Then realising that not only does £1970 of it belong to your mum as it's from a dividend on your life insurance policy but also that you still have all your bills and rent to come out for this month. D'OH! Still silver lining is that my mum said I can have the £70 from it to use on my birthday present this year and it just so happened that I stumbled across a lovely little item for just over £60 the other day and so I ordered it last night! ^-^ http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/nekura/progression/If I'm REALLY lucky it might arrive before Toko but should have it before Ame at least. :) |

Doomsday On a whim I downloaded Doomsday the other night. It lures you into a false sense of security by pretending to be this creepy, deadly serious post-apocolyptic, zombie flick for the first half hour or so but then I figure Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers) must have been gradually drinking while writing the script because all of a sudden it turns into a giant cocktail of Resident Evil, Mad Max, The Omega Man, V for Vendetta, The Warriors, Gladiator and several other movies... if all of those movies were mainly set in Glasgow that is! It gets so stupid and over the top that I was worried it was going to turn into another Wanted but the difference with Doomsday is that despite all the ridiculousness I sat watching the entire second half with a huge grin on my face so I really can't say I disliked it infact I'd even go as far as to say that the way it makes you think it's taking itself too seriously is the beginning just makes the fun parts even better.
Overall I'd give it a hearty 4 decapitated, long-tongued, can-canning pole dancers out of 5! XD
EDIT: Also forgot to mention that I'll never look at Queen St Station in the same way ever again! |

Emo Song War So looks like Mr 'So-Called-Kun' did finally post his song after all and I have to say I'm impressed. You can read his here... http://sephikun.livejournal.com
EDIT: Marsten has entered the Brawl. http://life-on-m.livejournal.com/ (it's f-locked)
No here's my entry (it's not quite as X-core but still dripping with angst! :p)... lemme know who's you think is better.
Life Sucks Most On Wednesdays at 3pm (to be sung in the style of My Chemical Romance... or something ¬,¬)
All I feel is but endless torture and suffering Like being stuck in an airport where your plane has been delayed for 6 hours And all they have there is an overpriced fast food place Which you can't eat in anyway because you're a vegan Or perhaps more so like an albino quadraplegic Trapped in a desert full of stairways. The sun burning my skin A bit like when you put your hand on a stove But no one warns you that it's hot Because they don't love you.
The tears I cry as I walk the streets at night Are drowned out by the bitter calls of the hungry gulls Looking spitefully at me with their eyes of red As they pick apart the carcass of my dead cat on the road Just like the injustices of this world pick apart my soul every day But mostly on Wednesdays around 3pm I stop by an ATM My account is empty just like my life. The hurt I feel from your rejection is like being cut a thousand times With a 20cm Hecknels Five Star Breadknife Which has been sharpened with pure saturated pain The look of disgust you gave me was worse than that time Where you drank some Dr Pepper Then realised it was actually Dr Pepper Zero instead Now my heart is blacker than the Vauxhall Corsa That belongs to the guy that you cheated on me with On Prom night. Which was also my birthday Where you left me standing alone in the wet and dirty womb of the bus stop Just like I was alone on the day I was born Well, except for my parents, family members and several doctors and nurses I guess my attempts at being symbolic didn't impress you.

Well it's past 10 and there's no sign of any song from Sephi so I won't post 1 either. A song does actually exist so I could post it and win the song war by default but it's so awful that I'm not even going to look at it again without something else equally as awful to take the edge off a bit (besides it kinda turned into an obvious pisstake instead of just an OTT type thing anyway). Have these instead. Can't wait for Toko to arrive! :D Current Mood: cheerful |

Turns out I didn't watch ANYTHING tonight after all. Instead I went to the Cathouse with Mr Sephi and during the many events that occured over the course of the evening a challenge was issued. What was the challenge? Why, to see who could write the most wrist-cuttingly bad emo song around by 10pm on Saturday of course. I'm typing this now because I'll forget in the morning. XD My life is an unwritten page in a book of misery... ...or some shit like that! :D Will do a proper update sometime soon as well I guess. Current Mood: amused |

Gotham Knight was way better than I was expecting. It's a compilation of individual animations done by different directors and studios but unlike the Animatrix it uses the same lead characters in each segment mainly Bruce Wayne/Batman, Commissioner Gordon and his lead detectives in the MCU as well as Alfred and the 2 main gang bosses so it's interesting to see them all done in different styles and with different appearances. Even though Batman/Wayne himself are all voiced by the familiar sound of Kevin Conroy his personality actually changes to suit each style with the older Manga-esque style Bruce being all angsty and serious while the bishie version of Bruce is softer and more playful. The stories are all well written and enjoyable and the action, music and general atmosphere of each segment is reminiscent the early 90's WB animated series (although a lot more graphic in some places) apart from 'Have I Got a Story for You' which is a bit more modern and stylised. The way some of the stories interconnect with each other is nicely done as well even though they also work as stand alone segments. The only problem with it is that even though it runs for over an hour in total the whole thing feels really short and leaves you craving more afterwards which I suppose is the point really seeing is it's been timed to tie in with the release of The Dark Knight movie. Overall I'd give it a 'better than average' 4 bitter, vengeful, pointy-eared orphan millionairres out of 5 Current Mood: pleased |

Chaffing Today I came to the shocking realisation that as I've been aquiring more boxers shorts in the past 6 months or so (mostly from gifts such as christmas presents etc but also 1's I've bought myself lately) I have less of the airy, baggy types that I always used to wear and I now have more of the tighter Calvin Klein styles with the pouch area. This has recently caused me to start suffering from chaffing around the areas where the top of my legs meet my crotch so I've decided that rather than scrap the boxers that are causing the problem and having to locate and purchase the older style 1's I'm just going to give up underwear altogether for the time being. That's right, from tomorrow onwards I'm going to be free-balling! :D Shouldn't be too much of a transition seeing as I always sleep that way anyway (except when guests are present of course) but it may still take a bit of getting used to. Tomorrow on 'Things you absolutely needed to know about my life'... my BOWEL movements! *thumbs up* :D Current Mood: freeballin' |

Ned Justice Bry, Tina, Psy and Kim's flat-party was a lot of fun last night even though I didn't get there til late and everyone was already blitzed it was still a good show and there was some interesting conversations with Psy and Fiona in the kitchen until 4am after all the light-weights had gone to bed. :p I really need to shave but I can't be arsed and I have to tidy up the flat for part 2 of the Buffy Season 2 marathon and my flatmate seems incapable of cleaning up the living room after him and his girlfriend despite pushing 40, it's actually rather unsettling. ¬.¬ Everyone should watch Meebox on BBC3 tomorrow night at 11.45. :) Current Mood: hungry |
